Dear Future Student,
Choosing your trainer may be the most important decision you make when entering the paramedical tattoo industry.
The right education can set you up for an incredible career. The wrong education can cost you thousands of dollars, leave you feeling unprepared, and discourage you before you’ve even had the chance to succeed.
Unfortunately, this industry has attracted trainers who are more focused on selling courses than developing skilled artists. Experience matters. Technique matters. And who you learn from matters.
Here’s what makes my training different:
1. Ink Chemistry & Advanced Color Theory
Understanding what’s inside your pigments is just as important as knowing how to implant them. I teach the science behind pigment selection, color correction, and how to minimize unwanted healed results, including yellow undertones.
2. Guaranteed Small Class Sizes
I intentionally limit my classes to just three students. Larger classes mean less individual attention, fewer opportunities to ask questions, and less hands-on time with your instructor and live models. You deserve better than that.
3. Quality, Pre-Selected Live Models
Not all scars and stretch marks are appropriate for training. I carefully select live models who provide valuable learning opportunities so you can practice techniques on real skin under my supervision.
4. Continuing Education That Doesn’t Cost You More
Your education shouldn’t end when you receive your certificate. Twice a year, you’re invited to return to class for FREE to refresh your skills, strengthen your technique, and continue growing as an artist.
5. Real Tattoo Machine & Needle Theory
I teach you how tattoo machines actually work, how different needles behave, and how to use your equipment correctly. Too many artists enter this industry without understanding the mechanics behind their tools. I want you to develop practical skills you can confidently apply to real clients.
6. A Teaching Style That Actually Makes Sense
I’ve been teaching in one form or another for most of my life. From teaching dance to developing employee training programs for my businesses, education has always been a passion of mine.
I’ve invested over 1,000 hours developing my curriculum to make it organized, engaging, practical, and easy to understand. I want you to enjoy learning, not feel overwhelmed by it.
7. A Complete, High-Quality Training Kit
When you choose a training package that includes a kit, you’re receiving carefully selected professional equipment and supplies to help you get started. I don’t believe in cutting corners on the products we use, especially when we’re working on someone’s skin.
8. Learn From a Working Medical Tattoo Artist
This one is especially important to me.
I’m a working artist first and a trainer second.
I still see clients regularly. I work with new cases, challenging skin conditions, different scar types, and real-world situations that continue to teach me something new.
That hands-on experience directly influences what I teach my students.
I believe the best instructors are the ones who continue practicing, questioning, learning, and improving their own craft.
One Last Thing I Want You to Know
I receive messages from students who have already spent thousands of dollars on training, only to discover they don’t feel prepared to work on real skin.
Some invest in additional courses to fill those gaps. Others become so discouraged that they give up before their careers ever begin.
That genuinely breaks my heart.
I don’t want that to happen to you.
Whether you train with me or someone else, please do your research. Ask questions. Look at your instructor’s healed work. Find out how often they actually work with clients. Ask about class sizes, live models, pigment education, and what kind of support you’ll receive after graduation.
Don’t choose a trainer based on a certificate or a flashy sales pitch. Choose someone whose experience, integrity, and teaching ability you trust.
Your future deserves that.
With love,
Meagan Chapman,
Your Future Instructor 🤎

What sets us apart?
Intimate Class Settings: With only 4 students per training, you'll get unparalleled one-on-one guidance and attention, ensuring a personalized learning experience that you won’t get with bigger class sizes.
Ink Chemistry. Learn how to avoid yellow/orange outcomes. This is the biggest problem in our industry and most instructors aren’t talking about it. It’s so much deeper than a color match. The ingredients in the ink matter. This is one of the MAIN reasons you should choose my course above all others.
Comprehensive Support: Benefit from the expertise of not just one, but two instructors. Alongside my tattoo instruction, you'll also learn from Caroline Lawless, a seasoned marketing professional with a notable background, having served as the marketing director for a company featured on Shark Tank.
Extensive Training: Immerse yourself in three full days of in-person learning, supplemented by over 16 hours of hands-on practice, providing you with a robust foundation to excel in paramedical tattooing. In addition to all of the hands-on training you’ll receive, you’ll get ongoing support and mentorship in our Facebook group and group chat for students only.
Premium Equipment: Receive a generously sized kit stocked with full-size, high-quality products essential for servicing your first 10 clients, ensuring you're well-equipped for success from the start.

Unlike traditional tattooing, you don't need to know how to draw or be artistic or creative to become a paramedical tattoo artist. When you tattoo a client, you'll be using the tattoo machine to follow the path of their natural stretch marks. If you can hold a marker and trace, then you can do this. You will be taught all of the tattoo techniques in class. No artistic skills required.
-
No you don't! Once you complete your training, you will apply to be a licensed tattoo artist. A cosmetology or esthetician license is NOT required.
-
Once you complete your training, it's super simple. Aside from training, all you need to apply for your tattoo license is first aid and CPR training, a hepatitis B vaccine, and a bloodborne pathogen certificate, which can be completed online for $10. We are happy to help guide you through this process!

You won't be looking for a job, you'll be creating one! When you train with Utah Stretch Mark Lab, you have access to our dedicated student room to tattoo your clients while you get established and build your portfolio. This will save you lots of money because you won't have to worry about committing to a lease on your own space. The marketing instructor, Caroline, will teach you everything you need to know about Instagram marketing to get your business off the ground and start attracting some clients.

This is easily a six figure opportunity. When I started this in 2021, I hit the ground running with my marketing efforts. Nine months into tattooing clients, I had made $100,000. It's not so much "how much money can I make?" but "how consistent and committed am I going to be?"

Not even close! While camouflage tattooing has been around for a while, many people still don't even know it exists. It is growing in popularity, however, and it will undoubtedly be as big as botox and lashes. There are plenty of stretch marks to go around. Not to mention the fact that every year, women have children. This means more stretch marks and more clients.
