Unlike traditional tattooing, you don't need to know how to draw or be artistic or creative to become a paramedical tattoo artist. When you tattoo a client, you'll be using the tattoo machine to follow the path of their natural stretch marks. If you can hold a marker and trace, then you can do this. You will be taught all of the tattoo techniques in class. No artistic skills required.

No you don't! Once you complete your training, you will apply to be a licensed tattoo artist. A cosmetology or esthetician license is NOT required.

Once you complete your training, it's super simple. Aside from training, all you need to apply for your tattoo license is first aid and CPR training, a hepatitis B vaccine, and a bloodborne pathogen certificate, which can be completed online for $10. We are happy to help guide you through this process!

You won't be looking for a job, you'll be creating one! When you train with Utah Stretch Mark Lab, you have access to our dedicated student room to tattoo your clients while you get established and build your portfolio. This will save you lots of money because you won't have to worry about committing to a lease on your own space. The marketing instructor, Caroline, will teach you everything you need to know about Instagram marketing to get your business off the ground and start attracting some clients.
